Flower Power- Transform your Stanley Tumbler into a floral design with Aleene's Premium Decoupage

Babes! I've been seeing Stanley Tumblers around EVERYWHERE! I'm talking, at the park, at my kids school, downtown…everywhere. I LOVE me a good tumbler and all, but I also like to be unique so I'm going to show you how to use Aleene's Premium Decoupage to create a floral design on your Stanley Tumbler.

We're all about being trendy but let's stand out amongst the crowd.

First things first, let's start with the prep work. Begin by lightly sanding your tumbler to create a smooth surface for the decoupage glue to adhere to. Then, cut out your paper flowers (I recommend using a light weight gift wrapping paper or tissue for this part).

Next, mix your Aleene's Premium Decoupage glue with a little bit of water, until it reaches a thin consistency. Then, using a fluffy brush, apply the glue mixture to your tumbler in a thin layer where you want your flowers to go.

Place your cut out paper flowers onto the tumbler, using your fingers to smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles. Once your flowers are in place, paint over them with another thin layer of the decoupage glue mixture.

To prevent your paper flowers from wrinkling, add some water to them prior to application.

You can layer your flowers and between thin coats of Aleene's Premium Decoupage to create a really pretty collage!

Once you have your collage how you l love it, seal it with a final coat of decoupage, let dry, and seal with a coat of your top coat of choice. I used a thin coat of epoxy with a tiny amount of glitter (duh) mixed in!

And there you have it! In just a few easy steps, you can transform your plain Stanley Tumbler into a unique floral masterpiece that is sure to make your friends ask, "Where did you get that?!".

Aleene's Premium Decoupage glue is the perfect adhesive for this project, as it dries clear and won't leave any residue. Plus, it's easy to use and can be found online and at your local craft store.
